Maintaining your light filtering blinds
Roller blinds in Sydney are some of the most stylish window treatments available in the market today and make an elegant alternative to curtains. Just like any other window treatments though, roller blinds accumulate dirt and grime over time making them rather unpleasant. Fortunately light filtering blinds are fairly easy to clean and maintain. With a few simple household items (laundry detergents, water and brush) you can have your black out blinds looking brand new.
How to clean your black out blinds
Well there’s nothing to it really – start by separating the blinds from the roller. Be careful not to damage the blinds in the process. You can then soak the blinds in a sink or tub filled with lukewarm water. Add some detergent and leave it in there for about 3 hours. Proceed to brush areas of your blinds that are still noticeably dirty. You can do this while your blinds are still soaked in the water or after removing it from the solution.
Rinse your blinds clean and examine it for any dirt and grime that still remains. At this point you may have to repeat the process one more time. Hang them out to dry and then put everything back together – and you’re done!
Indeed roller blinds are some of the easiest window treatments to clean and maintain. With regular cleaning, you can expect a good set of roller blinds in Sydney to serve you and your family well for many years to come.
